COVID 19 - HEALTH AND SAFETY
With the lockdown restrictions beginning to ease we are working to reopen safely in accordance with government guidelines. This means we are looking forward to sharing our friendly and unique country once more.
Thé Highlands are a remote and rural fragile area with medical and hospital facilities insufficient even for our permanent population so we ask visitors to respect this and observe any social distancing rules that are in place to keep everyone safe.
For the latest information please see http://www.visitscotland.com
We are introducing new, more rigorous cleaning protocols to keep you safe, this means entry may need to be later and departure earlier than normal to allow for the longer time this will take to complete.
We will not be able to have our normal ‘meet and greet’ when guests arrive, but will offer a self-check in and check out service. We don’t wan’t to appear inhospitable to guests, but do need to make sure you feel welcome whist ensuring your check-in procedure complies with social distancing guidelines. We encourage you to call us on the landline to let us know you have arrived safely and at any time if you have any queries or problems.
If you develop or have symptoms of COVID-19
If a guest is displaying signs of the COVID-19 virus while staying in overnight accommodation for a permitted reason, they should inform the accommodation provider, immediately self-isolate where they are to minimise any risk of transmission, and request a test. If they are confirmed to have COVID-19, they should return home if they reasonably can. They should use private transport but only drive themselves if they can do so safely. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority.
